Did you ever wish to use your phone as a keyboard to write text on your PS4? Well, now that has become possible, thanks to the PlayStation App for smartphones.
To do so, follow the following steps:
First of all, download PlayStation App for your iOS or Android device and Sign In to it using your PlayStation account. Make sure it is the one you used to log in to the PS4.
Go to your PlayStation's Settings menu and choose "PlayStation App Connection Settings". Select "Add Device".
You'll be presented a Registration Code. Note it down.
Open PlayStation App on your device and tap "Connect to PS4" button on the bottom left corner of the screen. You'll be taken to screen with options "Second Screen" and "PS4 Guest Log In".
Tap on "Second Screen" option. You'll see a screen showing the PS4 machines you're logged in to.
Tap on the PS4 you want to control.
You'll be prompted to type the Registration Code you noted down. Enter it and tap "Register". Now you're connected to your PS4.
Here you'll be presented with a simple navigation menu. Tap on "Keyboard" icon on the top of the screen.
Now you can easily chat online with your PSN friends!
